Infrastructure:
Physics, Chemistry and Biology Laboratories:
The role played by Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories at AECS, Aswapuram at the level of Secondary classes have rendered needful services in performing experiments as per the prescribed syllabus of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. In addition there are charts, models, diagrams, teaching aids, so that the students can learn in a much better way by performing the experiments and verifying the results of what they are taught in theory classes. Sincere efforts are made by the teachers to satisfy the curiosity of enthusiastic children. In Physics, Chemistry and Biology, sufficient number of practical classes are conducted to enable the students experiment comfortably. All these enable our children to perform better in examinations which is reflected by the excellent quality index of board results. Science Exhibition, Science Quiz contest are also conducted every year to meet the expected needs of students to expose their up-graded knowledge and display their skills of understanding the scientific concepts.
Maths Lab:
Many mathematical kits and equipment required for the Primary and the Secondary were procured. Mathematics laboratory has been introduced to make the learning of Mathematics an interactive, exciting and fun-filled experience, empowering the students with numerical, observation, analytical, logical and interpretation skills. In the well equipped lab, the early cognitive abilities of students are converted to conceptual re-organization in the mind in an easy way enabling the gifted students to think, reflect, explore and solve the problems. Maths Corners and Maths Clubs are developing inquisitive nature to students in Mathematics.
Computer Lab:
Enter the Computer lab - 'Chick On' and the Window to Knowledge is Wide Open. Computer Education has became indispensable part of education today. It started in AECS, Aswapuram in the year 1999-2000 for secondary classes and extended to classes IV and V in the year 2004. In AECS, Aswapuram Computer laboratory was set up in the year 1999 and presently procured with 16 computers, 1 laser printer cum scanner. In Primary Building also computer lab is established with 9 computers. Presently class IV - X are picking up the latest computer education through a structured curriculum and books published by the Macmillan Publications. An organised and uniform teaching programme is established by introducing computer science text books titled 'Exploring Information Technology' at different levels. Students are provided an environment to master the skill of using the computer with utmost care by having a comprehensive understanding of the subject step by step.
LCD projection in Primary and Secondary:
Updated educational CD's are maintained. Students are getting exposed to these educational CDs through LCD projector from time to time and enriching their knowledge.
Social Science:
AECS, Aswapuram firmly believes in teaching through illustration. Accordingly we are armed with three dimensional models of all continents, three stage of a river, model showing ocean feature and interior of the earth etc so that young minds not only thoroughly understand intricate aspects of the subject but also become genuinely interested to gain knowledge. Movable models to show the phases of moon and models to illustrate the occurrence of day and nights and seasons make geography interesting and fun. Teaching of "The World History" and Indian history is done period wise using colourful maps showing various civilizations and extent of various empires and kingdoms. We believe in instilling a sense of pride towards national monuments and awareness of India's rich cultural heritage. Our school and Social Science department nurtures the young minds to be environment friendly and socially responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Physical Education:
We offer excellent opportunities for students to develop physical fitness and qualities of sportsmanship. School has two Basketball courts, 400 metre well built 8 lane running track, volley ball court and also football field. Children utilize this sports infrastructure to enhance team spirit and develop self esteem. Physical education room is well equipped with fitness material and this material acts as a stress buster and strengthen the ability of students in all activities. Intramurals are conducted throughout the year for all age groups like Sub-junior, Junior, Senior and Intermediate group in various events of athletic and field games. 'Strengthening Workout' is provided to enrich the sports ability of sports stars. Our sports stars participate in various athletic meets at district, zonal and national level and bring laurels to school.
Art department:
Young artists picturise great myths and legends and these masterpieces raise the school flag to its zenith by winning bags full of prizes. School preserves a beautiful art room and procures various decoration material and material required for nurturing the creativity of the student. Subjects like memory drawing, still life drawing, greeting card design, paper craft, metal craft, calligraphy, thread works, stage decoration etc are undertaken. This room glittering with colours, handmade papers, thermocol sheets is full of life on all occasions of public & school functions. Our budding artists show great interest in learning and participate actively in different reputed art competitions conducted by Young World, Navneet etc. and win a number of prizes. Stage decoration and picturesque backdrop on all the occasion of school including annual day celebration is carried out by our art department and is always appreciated as a 'unique creative mini theatre of the colony' by one and all. Workshop in fine arts is organised every year for brushing the creative talent of the students and an art exhibition is arranged to display the talents of artists. All attempts to enable students to achieve new goals and flourish in various fields of arts are made.
SIT (Satellite Interactive Terminal) Room:
SIT Room is established and live interactive relay is going on from Mumbai.
Library:
Students have access to books, periodicals, magazines and news papers in the library.
NCC:
To inculcate discipline and foster the spirit of national integration in students, boys and girls are inducted into the NCC. Interested boys and girls are enrolled for the NCC from classes VII to IX and trained to appear for the 'A'Certificate Examination every year.
